Morning Musing: Revelation 22:12 Part 1

“Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done.”  (ESV – Read the chapter)

Morning Musings: John 14:26

“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.”  (ESV – Read the chapter)

Living the life of Christ day-in-and day-out is a tall order.  It’s a huge task.  If we let it, the thought that we are to live each day following after the pattern of Christ and doing what He said can be an overwhelming thought.  If we think about it in the wrong way, it can leave us wondering whether it’s really all worth it.  How are we supposed to do this on our own? Morning Musings: 2 Corinthians 6:14

“Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers.  For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness?  Or what fellowship has light with darkness?”  (ESV – Read the chapter)

This is a tough verse.  It’s tough mostly because of its implications.  I don’t think Paul’s point here is that we need to cloister ourselves off from the world.  Rather, we should not attach ourselves to the world in such a way that we are depending on it for the things for which we should primarily depend on the Lord.
